This item has been sold.Unusual 2-inch parian-type child shoulder head of untinted bisque, incised 285. Probably by the Kling & Co. porcelain factory, Ca. 1880s. Bisque is excellent quality and perfect except for a flake inside the back corner of the shoulder plate. His short curly brown hair is nicely molded with brush-stroked bangs, quite an unusual color, too. Features are beautifully hand-painted. Could be made up as a little girl or boy. What a lovely head!
