Very unusual 5-inch antique sewing companion or notion pin cushion. Based on an 1850-60s china “frozen charlotte” doll with pink tinted complexion. She has a covered wagon hairdo, and beautifully painted features with red eyelid line and corner eye dots. The doll herself would measure about 3 ˝ inches. I assume that she is complete inside the pin cushion; the assembly is original. It is a plaid silk stuffed dress with a few old pink, needles and buttons stuck in it. There is some loss to the silk, best not to handle it too much. What a sweet item!
