Wonderful 9-inch antique German all-bisque doll, incised: 208 12. She was made in the porcelain factory of J. D. Kestner. Her bisque is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs, though she has a tiny rub on each cheek and top lip, and several tiny pepper specks on her forehead under her wig. Her blue/gray eyes sleep and are accented by lovely multistroked eyebrows. There is some eyelid wax missing. She retains her original blonde mohair wig, but the bangs are somewhat sparse. She has a swivel neck. Her molded footwear features white stockings wih herringbone design, blue garters, and two-strap heeled shoes with pom-pom toe ornament. She wears her original clothing – all beautifully made: panties, half slip and darling white cotton dress with lace and eyelet trim and extra ruffle on the back, lacy bonnet, vintage pin too! All clothing is in excellent condition, but silk ribbons on hat are very fragile. What a charming little girl, all ready to put on your doll shelf, or to use in a doll scene. I love to make little vignettes with my all-bisque dolls!
