This item has been sold. All-original and boxed 14-inch antique German doll with bisque head incised: Made in Germany Armand Marseille 390 A 2/0 x M. Her bisque is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs. Her blue eyes sleep and have perfect eyelid wax. She has her original light brown mohair wig. Her jointed composition and wood body with “stick legs” and straight wrists has perfect original paint. She wears her factory original red-check cotton dress and white hat, lace trimmed slip and panties, red cotton stocks and red paper shoes. Her outfit is mint except that the fabric of her hat has yellowed somewhat. She is still tied in her original labeled box with My Playmate label and paper lace. My Playmate trademark was used by George Borgfeldt. Though Borgfeldt used this trademark from 1903-1929, I think she dates about 1912-1914. What a wonderfully preserved doll this is, and to think she is nearly 100 years old!
