This doll has been sold.Delightful 16-inch antique German doll with bisque head incised: K [star] K Simon & Halbig 126 36. Her bisque head was made in the porcelain factory of Simon & Halbig for the doll factory of Kammer & Reinhardt. Her bisque head is perfect with no repairs or hairlines, though there are a few wig pulls and a red l-shaped line and a light scratch on the back of her head, but it is not a hairline or damage. Baby has sleeping brown eyes with perfect eyelid wax, her original brown mohair wig, and an open mouth with 2 upper teeth and wiggle tongue. The teeth don’t show in the photo, but they are there. Baby has her original K & R body which needs to be clean and has some wear on her fingers, stringing is a little loose. Baby wears an antique white cotton gown, which has some stains, 1 dime-sized hole on the front, and needs to be laundered. Under that is a shorter gown and a cotton knit onesie, which may be original. The 126 mold is always a favorite with such a delightful face!
