This doll has been sold. Beautiful and big 32-inch antique German doll with bisque head incised: S & H K [star] R. Her bisque head was made in the porcelain factory of Simon & Halbig for the doll factory of Kammer & Reinhardt. There is a very light 2 ¼-inch hairline on her side forehead; otherwise there are no chips or repairs to her head. Her blue eyes sleep and have perfect eyelid wax, and she has molded multistroked eyebrows. Her open mouth with teeth features shading strokes on both upper and lower lips. Her human hair wig is a replacement. She has pink glass earrings and just a tiny nick on each earring hole. Her original K & R composition and wood body is quite heavy and could be cleaned, has a few scuffs, but is very sturdy. Her hands have been repainted. This beautiful girl wears a fabulous pink cotton antique dress in excellent condition with some light discoloration, but no holes or deterioration. Her underclothes consist of an antique white cotton onesie and full slip. She wears newer black shoes. What a beautiful presentation she makes and what a bargain at half her book price!
