This doll has been sold.Pretty 24-inch antique German doll with bisque head incised: S [PB in Star] H 1909 6 Germany. Her bisque head was made in the porcelain factory of Schoenau & Hoffmeister, Ca. 1909. Her bisque is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs. Her brown sleeping eyes have real upper eyelashes, a few a broken off her right lid, and molded and multistroked eyebrows. She has a lovely nice and full antique mohair wig in excellent condition. Her original jointed composition and wood body has been nicely repainted and one leg has had some repair. She wears her original white open-work stockings and black oilcloth shoes marked “Made in Germany.” Her drawers and slip are made from vintage white cotton. Her gray silk and lace dress is also made from vintage fabrics. I’m always happy and it’s a real plus factor to find dolls with original mohair wigs and footwear. A pretty girl with a pert winsome face!
