This doll has been sold. Darling 22-inch antique German doll with bisque shoulder head, unmarked except for size number 8, but looks like those made by the Bahr & Proschild porcelain factory. The stationary glass eyes, flat eyebrows, 6 teeth, pierced ears and chin dimple are all characteristics of B & P dolls. Her bisque is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs. Her nice quality auburn human hair wig is a replacement. Her original heavy kid body has a few patches on the elbow and crotch. It has gusseted joints and heavy bisque lower arms with no chips. Her vintage clothing consists of white cotton drawers, full slip and lace trimmed dress with new ribbon insertion, new shoes and old cotton stockings. Her lacy cap appears to be vintage, too, as is her locket. What a beauty she is, all ready to display!
