Charming 18-inch antique German doll with papier-mâché head in the manner of Sonneberg, 1880. The head has original finish in perfect condition with bright paint. There are two small paint flakes on the very top of her head. She has her original hand-sewn cloth body, also in excellent condition. Her clothing appears original. She wears a pin-dotted cotton gown, shift, pantaloons, half slip, stockings and red cotton boots. She has a red cotton belt and scarf to match and a black and blue bead necklace. She has a wonderful look, and if you like early dolls of this type, you won’t find a better one than this!
