Sweet 12-inch antique German doll with bisque head incised: 30 B 1 ½ Germany. He is the so-called “American Schoolboy.” His bisque is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs. His head features blonde molded hair with bangs combed to the side, multistroked eyebrows, inset glass eyes, chubby cheeks and closed mouth. Schoolboy has his original cloth body with some patches, but still sturdy and perfect bisque lower arms. His clothes are vintage: black velvet pants, whitework shirt (yellowed with some age holes), stockings, and handmade brown slippers. Always a favorite face of mine, I am always happy when I can find one of these to sell. What a sweet little boy!
