This doll has been reserved.Charming and all original 16-inch antique German doll with patent washable composition head, ca. 1880-1890. Her coloring is lovely and condition is excellent with just a short crack at one eye corner and light soil on one cheek which can be cleaned. She has a paper label on the back on her shoulder plate which shows a sun with a face and rays coming from it. I will look through my Cieslik’s Encyclopedia to see if I can find the maker. She has dark pupiless eyes and original, though a little sparse mohair wig. Her original cloth body has composition lower legs with painted boots, some paint wear on boots and one foot repaired. She also has composition lower arms. She wears original clothing: slip, drawers and dress. Everything is in very good condition, but some fading on dress and one button is missing in back. Her hat is a vintage replacement. If you like early dolls, you won’t find one nicer. What a charming all-original doll!
