Lovely 16-inch antique German china lady doll with 1850s-style covered wagon hairdo. Her china head has a faint pink tint. There is a slight nose flaw: the tip may have been chipped and filled in; only one nostril is painted, there are two very short lines coming from the nose tip; you need a strong light to even see this, as it is tiny. There is also some paint wear on her hair. She has a vintage cloth body with bisque lower arms which have been overpainted a tan color. On her feet she wears unusual china dutch shoes with flow-blue Delft-type decoration. They look old, but I can’t guarantee the age. She wears a lovely vintage blue cotton dress with red bias trim with quite a bit of fading in the front, white cotton pantaloons, knitted half slip and gauze half slip. Very nice doll, ready to have a nice display!
