Wonderful 10-inch Kathe Kruse Daumlinchen 25H model Hanne Kruse Thumbelina, from the fairy tale. This sweet little girl dates from 1996, I think. At least that is the date on the brochure in her box. I believe she was a souvenir doll made especially for the Kathe Kruse luncheon at the UFDC Convention in a very limited edition. The only way you could obtain the doll was to attend the luncheon. Thumbelina is still tied in her original box – has never been displayed or taken out of the box. She is in perfect condition, and wearing her original blue and white cotton check dress and white apron. She still has her Kathe Kruse gold tag. I’ve pulled back her protective hair net for the photo. She has a green lily pad, for Thumbelina lived on a lily pad. She also has a pair of sunglasses and a green and red plastic ring; I’m not sure what that signifies, anyway it was with her when I got her. What a tremendous find for the Kathe Kruse or UFDC Souvenir doll collector!
