Bonnet Head Lavender Bonnet Head <br>Lavender

Sweet 8 ½-inch antique German bisque bonnet head doll, probably made by Hertwig & Co., Ca. 1890. Her bisque shoulder head is perfect with no cracks or chips, but there is a small area, less than ¼ inch of discoloration on the brim, which looks like an old repair. Her sweet face is framed with short curly blonde hair capped by a pale blue wide-brimmed molded hat with green bow and pink flower with pink ties and gold decoration. Original cloth body with stone bisque lower arms and legs with brown glazed boots and herringbone white hose. She was dressed years ago in light lavender satin gown with lace and picot trim over white cotton half slip and drawers. There are some pencil marks on part of the skirt forming petals as though the seamstress was going to apply braid in that pattern, then put it on in rows instead. Beautiful modeling on the back of her hat, too. Love these bonnet dolls!

Price: $55.00
