Gorgeous and rare 13-inch early antique German bisque child doll incised: 979. She was made by the porcelain factory of Simon & Halbig, one of their early open-mouth models with desirable feature of two square-cut teeth. Her bisque is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs, but has a few specklings by her mouth. Her light blue eyes with large pupils sleep. Her flat dark blonde eyebrows have multistrokes, and her ears are pierced. She has an extra long antique blonde mohair wig with whispy bangs and waves down to her derriere. She has her original early German composition body in excellent condition with original paint – but it has two lower left arms! I could hardly believe this when I noticed it because the two arms match perfectly, so it is obviously a factory error and not a replacement. She is dressed in a pretty white antique dress with lace trim, matching full-length slip and pantaloons, antique stockings, vintage satin bonnet, and shoes maybe 30 years old. A rare, wonderful and desirable doll, you will love her!
