This 17-inch Effanbee vinyl doll is Diana, Princess of Wales, the 1982 selection of the Effanbee Limited Edition Doll Club, an edition of 4,220 dolls. She is fully marked on her head and back shoulders. Diana’s wedding gown outfit is all original and has the Effanbee label. Her gown is made from an ecru silk-like fabric with puffy sleeves lavished with lace, which also adorns the ruffled royal V neckline and the bodice. Diana wears a spearkling bead and pearl tiara holding her veil made of layers of bridal tulle. Her train, attached at her back waist, is 30-inches long. Under hew gown she wears lace-trimmed taffeta slip and matching pantaloons, satin shoes and stockings. Diana carries a lovely bridal bouquet of white roses, yellow rose buds and cream ribbons. Her face mold was made especially for this doll, and will never be used again. She comes in her original box with certificate and booklet. Someone has cut out the original name of the owner off the certificate. Everything is in excellent condition. Princess Diana was killed in an automobile accident in 1997. What a lovely remembrance of a sweet bride who turned into a stunning lady, and lived too short a life!
